WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY 2017

Saturday 18th March, 2-4pm
The LifeCentre, 235 Washway Road, Sale, M33 4BP
Tickets £5 each

South Manchester Down’s Syndrome Support Group is celebrating World Down Syndrome Day 2017 with a fun-packed, multi-sensory session of songs, stories and Makaton signing from Singing Hands. Suzanne and Tracy’s eclectic repertoire of songs features signs and symbols for farm and jungle animals, weather, colours, emotions, numbers and much more.

Suzanne and Tracy are both parents of children with additional needs and are qualified Regional Makaton Tutors. They have appeared on the CBeebies award-winning show ‘Something Special’ with Mr Tumble, and produce a range of DVDs, CDs and books in association with the Makaton Charity, which will be available for sale on the day. Do not miss this wonderful opportunity for an hour of Makaton musical magic, suitable for all abilities.

This inclusive event will take place on Saturday 18th March, 2-4pm (show time 2:30-3:30pm) in the Wesley Hall at The LifeCentre in Sale. The venue is fully accessible with good transport links (it is situated on the A56, a 5-10 minute walk from Brooklands Metrolink tram stop), a car park with 50 spaces to the rear of the building, on street parking and a drop off bay area. The Wesley Hall is located on the first floor, and can be accessed via the stairs or a lift.

Tickets cost £5 per adult / child, and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, with priority given to SMDSSG members. If any member would be unable to attend due to financial circumstances, please contact us in confidence on the email address below.

To apply for tickets, email singinghands@dsmanchester.org.uk or write to SMDSSG, Unit 17, 41 Old Birley St, Manchester, M15 5RF,
